About Dr. Viji Sitther, Co-founder & CEO
Dr. Sitther is a tenured Professor of Biology at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. She has designed and developed the strategic vision of biomass production using salt-tolerant cyanobacterium, which is now being implemented at a larger scale at HaloCyTech.
With a strong R&D background, Dr. Sitther has discovered and patented four technologies with two additional patents at the provisional stage, and has acquired entrepreneurial experience through TEDCO phase 3 funding. Before joining Morgan State University and starting HaloCyTech, Dr. Sitther was a post-doctoral research associate at Pennsylvania State University and a graduate faculty at Fort Valley State University in Georgia.
